We have several options for pickup or delivery.

Personal Pickup: You are welcome to fly or drive in to town to personally pick up your new puppy. If you fly, we can meet you at the airport with your puppy or you can drive from the airport out to where we are located.

If you would like to have your puppy delivered via fly nanny, please let us know as early in the puppy selection process as possible, so there is time to make the necessary arrangements.

Cargo Delivery via Airline: Depending on the time of year, there may be an option to fly your puppy cargo, to your nearest airport. This option depends on the weather and any airline restrictions. Cost of this service varies depending on airline shipping charges and will also include the cost of the pet carrier and veterinarian health certificate.

puppy adoption Checklist

What your puppy comes home with:

  1. AKC Paperwork (for Bernese Mountain Dog puppies)
  2. 30 days of Trupanion Puppy Insurance (must be activated within 24 hours of pickup)
  3. A signed copy of our health guarantee/contract for your records.
  4. Baby blanket with siblings and mom’s scent.
  5. Puppy toy
  • What to prepare for your new puppy:

We have put together a list with links to our recommendations.

    1. Your puppy has been eating Purina Pro Plan Focus Large Breed Puppy (Chicken flavor). If you decide to change foods, we recommend a very slow transition. Bernese Mountain Dogs, in particular, can have very sensitive tummies.

    2. We have been using the Nuvet supplements for many years now. When we started using Nuvet we noticed increased litter sizes, increased milk production, and better coat health in our dogs. The Nujoint is targeted nutrition for joint health, which can help in the older years, and is something that is very important for any large breed dog. The code you will need to order is 392152.

    3. If you decide to crate train your puppy, we recommend an x-large crate with a divider so you can adjust the size as your puppy grows.

    4. Chew Toys: we use single ingredient bully sticks, especially during the teething stage. Please don’t give your puppy rawhide as it can cause intestinal blockages.

    5. Bowls: please choose stainless steel or ceramic, not plastic.

    6. When you first pick up your puppy, they will fit in a size Small collar, or possibly the smallest adjustment on a Medium, but they will be growing very quickly for the first few months.

    7. If you will be flying in cabin with your pup, you will need an airline approved soft carrier. We recommend getting the large size, as they can compress down under the seat, but your pup will have more room in the airport.
